I had not seen a single ad about this movie and didn’t know it was a musical until my wife told me. She wanted to see it and I was happy to go with her, but I hate musicals so we knew it was definitely a one-sided interest. If I could get a version of this film without the music, then I’d give it 5 stars, but otherwise it’s a 2 from me. Shout out to the visual effects and set design teams as they did a fantastic job! I’m also not familiar with the Oz series in anyway so definitely confusing as I thought the witch was evil, but it seems like she’s not.
