This book was extremely frightening because its sadly not farfetched. It was also sweet and touching. It's possible to be sympathetic to both Bird's parents. What we wouldn't do for our child. Highly recommend.

This book reads like a Doctoral thesis. It should be titled A History of Fairy Lore in 19th Century Rural Ireland. Oh, and one ture story of a burning thrown in.

This is the second book set in Florida I read recently that mentions a basement. Do your research. There are very few basements in Florida especially not in Miami Beach. Makes me crazy.
