Samantha Betts

The book was brilliant. The characters were extremely likeable and it was very funny. It struck a fine balance of comedy and tragedy but the TV series is wholly depressing and disappointing. I feel utterly depressed after watching this and it is not what I signed up for after reading the book but feel compelled to keep watching. The characters do not have the same likeability as the characters in the book. TV and films rarely match up to the book but need to stick to book more closely
