I tried to leave a single word review. Now that I must write more I find myself wondering what algorithm Netflix applied to me that gave this a 98% match. I was somewhat indifferent from the beginning of the first episode and it didn’t improve. The commentary about crappy kids was, in essence, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I suppose that only applies to parents with large sticks up their butts. The show didn’t redeem itself and after two and a half episodes I gave up. Sounds like it may end on a better note but I’m not going to find out. Meh.

I had a weird day that was front loaded and then nothing so I tried this show out on the basis Joaquín Cosío. What an amazing show. I binged the whole season and will probably rewatch. Great writing, great story that feels genuine and a great cast.
