What's with the trend of putting Chinese women in Sci-Fi lead roles? From Star Trek Discovery to Boba Fett, it's becoming the fad. First, it's implausible in these scenes to have these thin, fragile women attempting to play tough, aggressive characters in the most dangerous situations surrounded by hostile aliens and muscled men. And secondly, why Chinese women? Is it just to appeal to the Chinese market, because, I gotta' tell ya', Chinese movies and TV shows (and Indian and Japanese) have zero racial diversity in them. Zero. And they all have no guilt about that. Can we not have characters that are representative of believable situations rather than attempting to be woke?
