Meghna Uniyal – Google

I find this series extremely racist. Disney junior though tried to portray Indian characters but failed to express them well. In one episode, the greedy mongoose - Cheeko Meeko ask everyone to hop on their dosa bicycle where a goat nonchalantly starts munching it. First of all, In India we don't let an animal touch the food that is supposed to be tasted by the people and second, those who share it also doesn't hop in same plate to eat (everybody gets their share in separate plates). Just by using some popular Hindi words like "Chalo, chalo" or "Namaste naani" doesn't mean that work has been done well. No, not at all. This show is an utter disappointment. I keep telling my son (who's an Indian like me) that not everything that you're watching in this series happens to be true, India is much more than this. Such a Disappointment!!

I saw it in 2007 for the first time and since then it is undoubtedly one of my favorite movie. Ashutosh sir never miss a chance to give us the best of movies. All the actors have done a great job in it. Be it Mohan Bhargav (my favorite character superbly performed) or Geeta (beautiful and simple girl) or Kaveri Amma. The story beautifully conveys the messages leaving you speechless with emotions and tears. There are several instances where you can feel the powerful acting. One of my favorite is when Mohan visits Haridasji and while coming back seeing a small boy selling water in kulhad decides to buy a glass from him despite being an NRI. Another favorite one is while everyone sitting at school location on Dusshra on being asked about the conditions in the U.S. how meticulously Mohan explains that one can't judge the country on the basis of varied culture and traditions. Bullseye!!

Honestly, it was difficult for me to move on from CLOY to any other new K-drama. But, due to Son Ye-jin's lead role in her I thought of giving it a try. By the third episode I fell in love with the chemistry between Jin-a and Jun-hui. Their understanding, compatibility is something that makes it a heartwarming romantic series. I won't tell the plot or the main theme of the series but, yes, it deals with the age difference between the couple (where girl is elder to the guy). I used to think these trifling judgements are only in our country. Duh! Their love blooms and it will bring butterflies in your stomachs too. The adjustments and sacrifices they both make shall bring tears to your eyes. Just one episode won't be enough for you because the end of every episode will bring you temptation of watching a little bit more.. She (Jin-a) tells him in the last episode that she has learnt being mature from him (Jun-hui) not just her, I too learnt a lot from the both of them. Without the use of any fowl language or vulgarity this series very well manage to portray their love and romance on screen. All in all, something in the rain is really one good series especially for those who are looking for the exclusive romantic-drama as the main genre. P. S. - Keep a tissue box right next to you by the last episodes of the series, because you surely gonna cry with them.
