i loved these books, and i also love this show. sure its not an exact replica of the books, but i already read the books, so its nice to having something refreshing and new thats based of something i love. it brings the feel and allure of being in new orleans. and it captures the essence of the books perfectly. if you did read the books and you go into this show expecting it to be exactly like the books, you will be disappointed. but if you get into this show with no expectations, you will not be disappointed. all of these negative reviews are from people who started watching the show with the expectation that it would be exactly like the books. it makes me sad that people cant see past their own expectations.
