2+ years, that's how long people had to wait just to receive the biggest disappointment in overwatch history. Adding a battle pass when players have been saying over and over again how tired they are of having to grind in video games for rewards/features. They took away level progression because they didn't have a need for loot boxes anymore because of the battle pass. Making overwatch free to play and then requiring a phone number to play and wouldn't let you play with a prepaid number. Removing the "stay in group" function for no reason? The game looks low quality and rushed, honestly unacceptable for how long its been in development. Legendary skins look like epic skins compared to OW1. One of the only good things about this game is the graphics and sfx improvement. It really feels like they care more about making money rather than the quality of the game, since all the best game devs left while ow2 was in development. Overwatch 2 probably would have been more successful if they released it as a separate game for $30 but they didn't want to because they knew if they did, everyone would just flock back to the first game after seeing the atrocious state of the second game. Don't listen to cooperate game reviewers, don't listen to the bigger, well-known reviewers, they most likely got priority in queue to play the game as well as got paid to play while everyone else has to wait in queue for 30 minutes to play the game while the servers get overloaded. I've been playing the game for about 5 years, I would've rather had them say they are going to delay the game again for another several months than receive what we have now. The only thing I see that might save it is the PvE story content that isn't even in the game yet but is seems unlikely after the game's horribly executed release.
