So I read halfway through the book and it was BORING. Its basically a RIP OFF of Attack on Titan, an anime. Kaz is literally like Levi and Inej, Mikasa. Wylan is armin, Nina is Sasha, and matthias is reiner. The personalities and backstory are somewhat similar and also, the setting, It reminds me when levi was child. The word Grisha and overall it felt similar, I think you would understand if you watched that anime, all episodes. I didn't enjoy this book at all, it was dull and bland. The characters were extremely unlikable and the plot was bland. The books pace was slow and I was never into it. I don't get the hype of this book. I hate Kaz, he's indeed insensitive and powerful but he ain't cool and the author just trys to show him off. I just hate him. Inej was reallyyyy boring and I didn't like her design and looks. Jesper was just a joker nothing else , I also didn't like him. Nina was by far better imo, but I hated what she did to mathias. Mathias was so hot tempered and it felt annoying. And last but least, Wylan, he was basically a boy just forced into Dregs (the group) just for love interest for Jesper. HE DIDNT EVEN HAVE POV and I hated how he was portrayed as dumb. He honestly felt forced into this story. Overall, I'm determined I won't read the rest. It was a waste of money.
