The writers tried way too hard to make a “feel good” series. It felt like it was written by an over excited teenager who happened to be a fan of the series but wanted it to be more diverse. There was no time to really develop stories or characters and it made the main love story seem to come out of nothing. The directing was beyond strange but I can’t blame the director when he had to deal with such subpar writing.
