The most sensational and irresponsible documentary. It offers no parenting help, just problems and stress for parents of out of control teens who actually DO care. These are kids who are drug addicted, who are dangerously promiscuous, who are truant from school, who talk back to authority in their life. These are kids who will end up in prison or dead if someone doesn’t help turn their life around. My own daughter went to a wilderness program a few years back and will be the first to admit that it absolutely changed her life for the positive. She watched this with us and laughed throughout it- as my husband and I were horrified. She just kept saying-“ it was not like that. It was not like that”. She defends the program until the end. It strikes me as funny that our society judges parents of kids who have drug problems, alcohol problems, shoot up schools but when these desperate parents try to take drastic measures, this is frowned on as well too. Why do people even have kids anymore? SMH. In the end, I don’t regret sending her. My daughter doesn’t regret going and my daughter is on a wonderful path. Is a kid of character and self worth. She is an exceptional human being. These programs are not created the same. Next time, show this side too!
