Oh dear! I've been a diehard Galbraith fan ever since I read the first book, but this one meandered pointlessly for quite a portion of the story. In common some of your other reviewers, I found the pages and pages and pages of online chat dreary and irritating - an unnecessary gimmick in the book, I thought - and I skipped most of them as they dragged on without adding much to the plot. I thought that if they had been cut from the book and another means of introducing the characters used where necessary, it would have benefitted the plotline considerably.
Shame on you JK - I suppose every author has an ill conceived turkey of a book in them, and I think (I certainly hope!) that this is yours and there are no more unpleasant surprises in the future. I might just borrow your next one from the library; save myself some money if it's rubbish!
