Would've liked the story more hadn't I first read the original, a different though relatable true crime story, the Lidneberg abduction which happened in March 1932, two years before Murder on the Orient Express was published. She almost followed the story line to the dot, involving the maid's suicide and all. Got me thinking whether or not the rest of her stories weren't adopted from real life crime tales. But she was and still is a great writer nonetheless ๐ค
