I thoroughly loved it - simply put. I didn't feel the need to dissect it, nor critique every aspect, because you lose momentum otherwise - besides, it's a very 'film student' thing to do and I can't understand how anyone could possibly enjoy ANY film, by dissecting it piece by little piece (unless you're a film critic and you're paid to watch it over and over of course). Just watch the damn film and either you enjoy it, or not. Everyone's opinion will differ and production teams can't please absolutely everyone. I watch films with this in mind and therefore, like every film I view, I choose to simply sit back and consume the film in one bite, taking in the complexities of each flavour and texture....as a whole; that's where the real experience is...for me at least. And Greenland was delicious!
I enjoyed the story-line (and how they managed to make it quite different to the usual Doomsday stereotypes), the non-stop twists and turns, the excellent acting from well-respected leads, and the 'answer' at the end (can't stand films that leave an open ending for the audience to interpret; that s*** doesn't gel with me; just finish the damn story and stop being pretentiously 'creative'; it's bs). So THANK YOU for a feel good ending and for closing the story off, so it doesn't leave us wondering. Terrific film and must-see!
