(THIS MAY SEEM LONG AND HARSH BUT THE LENGTH OF MY REVIEW AS WELL AS MY WRITING THIS AT 4 IN THE MORNING PROVES MY DEVOTED DISLIKING TO THIS BOOK. Spoilers btw.)
I read this book to the end thinkin if I gave it a chance I would like it. This wasn't at all emotional, I doubt the author has ever read a REAL book before, and the use of "slang" was not at all necessary. It is not at all written with the specifics of a normal book (don't know if that was the goal?) but i think if my 8th grade English teacher were to review this as a narrative essay it would get a D+ at best.
The characters meet after about 100 pages later, and it's so slow but then at around part three it gets rushed and all the little details that make a book A BOOK get left out. And when the tragic death happens there is barely any emotion b/c it is rushed through so fast, like, they bond and then 2 minutes later 1 is dead. I think the 1 star review that donated the book to goodwill was the book I BOUGHT from goodwill. (FYI there was a candy wrapper inside). But yea, one I'm glad I got this for 2 dollars, and two if I ever run out of space on my bookshelf I already have an idea of what I'm donating. (But don't take my word for it b/c everyone views books differently)
