I think that this movie was the FARTHEST from what happened in the 5 books. I am very mad they did not show all 5 books and make 5 movies instead of just 2 movies. It is otherwise a good movie but I would not recommend it if you have read the hole series. I think they would mess up the Labyrinth IF THEY GOT TO IT. Thalia does not even look like how she was defined in the books. They leave you on a cliff hanger and has not gotten back to it in like a year! Here are some examples to please read before watching the movie (From Stella Tate), 1. Finally Clarisse is in the movies but she has too much of a frenimie relationship with Percy. 2. Sure, they made Annabeth look more like the character and act like her, but they tried to make up with the mistake of not making her like that in the first movie and basically had o start over with her character 3. Chiron isn’t supposed to be in the beginning of the book. That’s the whole point of why Percy wasn’t put in the quest. It was needed 4. Percy thought of himself as a “one quest wonder” when in the book he didn’t want any glory 5. Tyson is supposed to act like a 7 year old. Not a 16 year old. Even when he talked like a kid, he sounded too sophisticated and then sounded smart. Pick a side 6. Percy and Tyson don’t meet at camp. They are friends before that. 7. What’s up with the Mist? They made it into spray! It is a magical vail that covers the mythological world. This would mess up all of Heros of Olympus if they ever got there 8. Clarisse didnt have the right story ark. She was supposed to save them from the Hydra when instead Percy saved them from I think Charybdis (it might be Scylla though) 9. They ruined the amazing fight scene on the Princess Andromeda by having Luke say “Hey, why are you on my roof” or something along those lines. 10. Annabeth’s cap was not mentioned once! 11. We didn’t get the amazing moment in the book where Percy said “You’re a genius to Annabeth while she had the Golden Fleece on” 12. The end scene was all wrong. Annabeth didn’t get almost killed by a manticore. 13. Why is Polyphemus’ Island so dark. He has the Golden Fleece so everything should be thriving 14. NECTAR IS NOT COFFEE. You don’t drink it with every meal. If a demigod did, they would combust. Things they really messed up; 1. KRONOS RISES IN THE LAST BOOK NOT IN THE SEA OF MONSTERS 2. The cursed blade is not Riptide 3. Kronos does not eat Luke, he uses him as a host body for a while. 4. They messed up the whole prophecy 5. It seemed like they were planning to do more movies since they kept Luke alive and awoke Thalia at the end so I don’t even know how they would make a new cursed blade etc.
