My now 41 yr old daughter and I read this book repeatedly 36+ years ago. I loved Maira Kalman then. I really love her now. Her seemingly off the wall points of reference are far ranging and so so perfect. So delightful, and also deeply touching between the lines. She and her books and her art are one of a kind and brilliantly satisfying. Time and time again
