A good commercial entertainer. My expectations: after watching the trailer, I was confident that VP would pull off something great with thalapathy. Reality : did not go as expected. First A director is the king maker of all, his creation, ideas, vision comes a true reality on screen. A person like VP who has pulled off some best movies like Maanadu, Mankatha, chennai 28 etc has disappointed me in this film. The intro for thalapathy is one of the best one for any superstar. Same as leo. SATS a powerful organization let down by amateur moves and ideas. Mission scenes let down by poor dialogues irrelevant to scenarios. An actor like Ajmal is given very less scope than premji. Prabhu deva 's role is good but his character portrayal could have been even better. Prasanth has pulled off better performance as natural is to be. Felt same as of andhagan Srinidhi role comes irrelevant to scenes and could have used her even better in emotional aspects. Laila and Jayaram have given their usual good performance. 3 cameo roles given correctly and worked well to the script. Vaibhav and other chennai 28 guys portrayal of characters could have been even more supportive. But did well. Yogi babu role is sometimes natural and at times deviates from pace of script. Seems like he was used as of intention. Premji role used good but dialogue delivery could have worked even better. Sneha's role has worked well naturally and emotionally. SATS unit of 2008 with a simple office, officers stature and power let down like a commercial. Surely a miss in its aim. Finally Thalapathy, where should I start? Father thalapathy role is emotionally really good and comedy scenes worked well with his own way of delivery to fans. But 2nd half father's role dialogues is very childish at times and not acceptable. VFx good. But with time given could have been awesome for climax scenes. Mohan sir role : A weak villain role with less impact. He deserves more for his great achievement in career he achieved. Surely a miss for his role. Ilaya thalapathy pulled off greatly but dialogues given are so so artificial we can't even tolerate to sit and enjoy and often feels annoying. His character was strong but enjoyed only half baked because of dialogues Post credit scene was great. Expect more in future. Song placement not good truly and reduced pace of movie. Some even not needed. Okayish twists. Expected more. Overall once watchable. Interval and climax was great. Overall 3/5. We need even more great movies from tamil industry from legend actors. This is a wholesome review of a neutral fan. Never posted for criticism.

A good gangster film. STR and gautam karthick steal the show. Str looks stylish in looks and aggressive in action. Gautam impresses with storyline pace. Priya, kingsley good acting. Gautam menon is of different style in this movie. Overall a good engaging gangster. Drawbacks: character indepth lags. Certain scenes are not logical and cinematic. Some scenes could be avoided. Rahman bgm does not work to full extent. Only meagre songs. Too much sound could have been avoided. Overall a blockbuster for STR...

My honest review. Please dont waste money. Simply waste. Nothing in movie. Please dont follow positive reviews. No content and what storyline it carries is doubtful for me till now. High sound bgm unnecessary. All characters just come and go. Only worth for grandeour in scenes. No emotions connected. Thalapathy is looking young and stylish. But his character portrayal and overacting ruins it. Jayasudha has done her job. Villian is utterly nothing. Just branded cars and high luxury to watch. Heroine simply wasted. Overall : Not a family movie at all.

What an Amazing imagination dream come reality... Hats off to James Cameron and the entire cast and crew. If you love mother nature and the sea, then I'll definitely be a visual treat for you. Story is good. But emotional attachments bring up the film further to greater heights. Please do witness the experience in Theatres. This is one of the greatest things we could ever witness in our life. Eagerly waiting for Avatar franchise to succeed...
