As a standalone this would have been an average film, however, what Rian Johnson has set out to do is pull the threads of the storyline and characters that have gone before to the point where we are left with something that makes little sense. Great visuals, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega deliver superb performances but other than that the overall plot is just a nonsense.
