K Wolyn – Google

This is the best movie I have seen in theaters in years! I loved that it dealt with a serious topic but was not a big downer. Acting and characters were well done. Loved that it was a suspenseful film without gratuitous violence and foul language. Sexual encounters with children are not graphically portraited - and don't need to be for the heinous nature of these crimes to be felt. Not a "Jesus Movie" - this heroic character lives his faith in a way that does not need preaching to get show his motivation.

I was not expecting to love this book! It is not a book that glorifies slavery. It shows how the culture OF THAT TIME AND PLACE viewed life, however wrong that view was. The most amazing thing was the character development! Mitchell makes you entranced with some really unlikeable characters. I didnt really like Scarlett,but she was fascinating- hard to explain but true! And that darn ending! I'm still thinking about all the possible outcomes for Scarlett and Rhett! Brilliant to end it that way, however maddening!
