A film well worth seeing. Ultimately a feel-good road movie but with considerable drama along the way, and a reminder of the acute racial discrimination in deep south US in the 60's. The development of the friendship between the two opposites is deftly handled and although it undoubtedly was given a dose of Hollywood pixie dust at the end it nevertheless, at least for me, was a far better film than "The Favourite" and deserves any award given.
