Gehraiyyaan. Well it’s a strange plot of a movie where two cousin sisters who share the same biological father happened to get romanced by the same man,Represented as Zain s character. Where Deepika's character Alisha is not properly loved by her 6 years old boyfriend who wants to marry her yet keeps her away from his private life decorum, Zain is quite understanding towards Alisha. Zain's character is shown quite threatened by her girlfriend ( Ananya 's character );Tia and her mother where they make him feel as a scapegoat and attaining the ladder of success just cause of Tia and her father's business. Both Alisha and Zain share a common ground for connection mentally and physically as well. What turns out drastic is the usage of words by Zain, where he explains Alisha, “ when no one thinks of u, u gotta do it for self”, it somewhere depicts the self driven motives that a human takes when circumstances go out f hands. Out of a cheating relationship, it turns drastic with falls in shares , loans being cancelled for investing in shell companies, with closing of Alisha's studio ,also her getting pregnant with Zain's child. The main thing to be seen here and to be understood from here is a cheating relation never thrives . Where everyone is saying on how this movie shows cheating, money laundering, easy sex, drastic homicidal motives for one’s gain, it throws light very excruciatingly on the dark secrets of parenthood, of traumas,of humans being self centred when they lack something of a validation out f a relationship or bonding where there’s some of expectations. It’s more than adultery ,which even being legalised in our country, has shown to actually shatter lives, minds, relations at their core. Movies as this has been made earlier too on adultery, extramarital affairs, then this has some good message underneath the waves throwing high, that; however it’s gorgeous on the surface,it’s the depth f every relation that takes it for a good survival point and individual success. There’s a sheer underlying sarcasm to the title f this movie, where nowadays we actually lack depth of human behaviours, understanding each other and giving in to everything easy and quick enough. A one time watch one. With every actor and actresses quite performing well enough for that period f watch. Being less judgemental and seeing the movie from its pov would actually help us realise what’s going around the world and how much hell it can take us into. A thumbs up for the writers.
