I just finished watching the last episode of season 7. I find the plot line somewhat offensive in that the woman of color is predictably portrayed as 'just for sex', i.e. the bad girl- someone the vicar would never marry. He ends ends up with the lily white, albeit boring, blond girl next door. It would have been so much more interesting, less formulaic and progressive to reverse the situation.
