If giving 0.5 on the rating was an option I certainly would. This film is an abomination on so many levels. All of the characters were essentially ruined. Michael speaks and groans throughout the film, Laurie has been turned into a heavy metal emo b***h who is utterly insufferable for every wrong reason and the final nail in the coffin is Dr Loomis who has been turned into a money hoarding, selfless prick who couldn't care less about anyone in the film other than himself. In general, the film is littered with cheap jump scares in an attempt to stop you from falling asleep as you try to make sense of the horrible plot and abysmal script. Furthermore, the entire psycho-horror aspect of every other Halloween film is lost completely and replaced with excessive gory scenes which are questionable and laughable at best. I am not exaggerating in saying that this is most definitely one of the worst films I have ever watched and is certainly the worst Halloween film ever released. It is appalling on so many levels and an enormous waste of time and money to have been produced. I strongly recommend against watching this film unless you would like your entire perception of the Halloween franchise and characters within it ruined and 105 of your precious minutes wasted.
