In my opinion, the series isnt that bad but just misinterpreted. I personally understood the point the producers were trying to get out but because of how poorly written some of it is, it's harder for other people to understand. Alot of people were saying the sex is too much and in a way it is, but I think it's their way of saying that for women, sex can get you anywhere in the industry.
I think the ending is kind of genius, even though alot of ppl are going to hate that I said that. But the hairbrush mention and Xanders scene when tedros get mad sums up the plot well and kind of foreshadows to the fact that Jocelyn would do anything to make it to the top even if that means manipulation. She embodies the fact that all these celebrities put out this persona of themselves in order make us relate (and in some cases they aren't lying).
The fact that they have all those talented people under Terris shows that if you want to be in the industry you have to make sacrifices and no matter how much talent you have, you will always have obstacles.
