The movie's good and the plot's just fine. Im just not sure if the plot of a movie comes at expense of negative portrayal of another country. In this case "Pakistan". I mean Urdu written everywhere and they are speaking Arabic, xD. Although, a good cast. But i think storyline could have been improved.

Sorry, to say but this has nothing with Rumi or Shams at all. Its nothing but fiction. Personally, i think the book destroyed the narrative of Sufism at its core. If you are coming from background of romanticism or atleast read the book thinking of some romantic story, you must be fascinated by all those lines and quotes. Yes, thats good, but if you really came after reading a bit of history of shams or rumi, it sounds nothing but fiction.
