Beautiful cinematography and talented acting. I really enjoyed this version of Matilda, I think it was very well done. I've read a few people say this movie was dark but the 1996 film was too! I actually was terrified by Trunchbull when I was a girl and Emma Thompson brought that fear and anger back. I didn't even realize it was her! Give it a shot. It seems there's 4 good reviews for every bad.
