I had considered myself a fan for a long time. I went to a book talk recently, and Anne warned about taking pictures of her. “No selfies and if you can take my picture without me knowing, go ahead.” So I was taking a few before I got up to the front of the line. Guess she knew I was taking pictures because one pic I snapped, I got the bird, slightly turned but in full view. Subtle but squashing. Oh well, Bird by Bird…
