This film challenged my perspective on what a film should be and what it is obliged to give it's audience, ..and I loved it. I've realised that I'm picky and set in Hollywood ways, but now I should grow up and respect art in it's own light. Yes the black and white is distracting and it robs the audience of the beautiful colour of the Australian outback, but why should film makers not have the freedom to make this call? Yes, the ending left me unsatisfied, but I think it was a realistic ending and a reflection of what often happens in these cases. Loved it. I respect the creative direction.
