We all know Don Quijote and the windmills. This happens in the very beginning of the book, so I'd save your time and stop there since at that point you know everything you need. Rest 800 pages are boring, repetitive, endless self-congratulation of how "how the next chapter will be the most interesting ever with most fantastic turn of events and you get the greatest laughs" and time and time again nothing actually happens. Or maybe it was satire of something but even then the joke was spread thin.
