The contolls suck. The only thing worse is mario kart tour. If they used motion controlls in that game like evey other racing game on your phone, it would be fine and then the snes would have toe worst controlls. Could just be me playing mario kart 64 first but still i just cant play because you mae wide turns. As cor drifting, you dont have that until mario kart wii. Also in the mario kart 8, i have had some absolute tokyo drift moments where i drift doen a straight away for a mega turbo. Still i just cant deel with wide turns making the game feel so floaty. It makes the game feel almost unplayable. Once you play mario kart 64, you will never want to go back to snes
