I got this game from my mother when it came out on the Xbox 360 and I cannot explain how insanely beautiful it looks and sounds and how smooth the platforming feels.
I have massive nostalgia for this title for its catchy music (Food World Paradise and The Land of the Livid Dead have the best tracks in my personal opinion), quick easy-to-handle controls/character movement and general landscapes such as the first level you play in the game that is some if not the best classical Xbox game level design I’ve ever seen with the hills being lit up by the sunshine and the mystery (for example: the many weird unexplained creatures wandering the Glade of Dreams).
To conclude the review I’d like to mention that the story is not too much to take in the bosses leading towards the end are super enjoyable to beat! I love the intensity the Murray of the Deep brings or the chase as you escape the flames inside the belly of a Dragon its all so charming and I still struggle to find a game that makes me feel this upbeat.
10/10 game even though Ubisoft abandoned Rayman after Legends was released.
