Ryan Gosling was amazing as Ken. Margot Robbie was Barbie. The world they created was beautiful. The costumes were incredible. There were some really funny moments and I really wanted to love it! I kept waiting/hoping for it to pull itself together. Unfortunately it drops the ball. There were moments I really thought it was going to be thought provoking and have some sort of storyline other than let's put men down like they have done to us. They tried to add depth between a Mother and daughter. Then abandoned that narrative. They touched on Ken feeling lost etc. That went no where. Will Farrell was tossed in for comedic value. His performance was awkward and off. Disappointing movie.

Could have been great. The whole thing completely fell apart. Nothing explained. Story lines that went no where. Halfway through the 10th episode and realized NONE of my questions were going to be answered, I wasted 10 hours of my life waiting to be told nothing. The reveal wasn’t a reveal at all. The things I wanted to know about that were interesting were basically forgotten and not even addressed. Huge disappointment. It could have been amazing! I loved The Haunting of Hillhouse. I have watched it several times. Unfortunately I will think twice before I endeavor another Flanagan series.
