This book is both enlightening and disturbing, the way women in medicine are treat here in the West. The system is archaic, corrupt and out of control. This affects anyone seeking orthopaedic advice / consultation. Joan is a remarkable woman. To be honest, I don't know from where she got the strength? A fantastic read! I've been telling everyone about it, since I read it. It would make a great film!
