This movie is a very realistic commentary on the relationship between these two holy men of the Catholic church. Pope Benedict feels he is at the end of his papacy and wishes to resign.
His conversations with the empathetic Cardinal from South America who he feels can
bring a fresh compassionate look to the Catholic Church.
It is a refreshing look at what could have happened in 2012-2013 when Pope Benedict resigned.
