Tidy. Economical. Ethereal. I’ve never seen a film like this. I’ve watched it at least six times and it has a calming effect. Its approach to death is stunning, simple and stunning. Take a look.

I’ve seen this movie three times and every time I am flummoxed. Roger Ebert once said you have to give respect to your audience. A director needs to give the audience something that is at least conceivable on some level. This movie is not. We kept thinking, have we stumbled into a episode of Twilight Zone? We tried suspending disbelief and it just did not work. The best part of this film is the very end and I’m not going to share that. No SPOILER ALERT! It is fun watching the genesis of a director who will be the shape of things to come, Steven Spielberg.

“Suspend disbelief”! Roger Ebert once wrote film makers should have a modicum of respect for their audience. Films like this stretch far beyond the “suspend disbelief.” It is tiresomely in the realm of ridiculous!

This is one of those movies where you want to slap your own face for wasting time. The acting, deplorable. The script, don’t get me started. Stay away, or better yet run away! Run away!

I guess Christina needed a new car or tennis court; why else would she participate in this cringeworthy debacle. Where’s Agatha Christy when you need her? If you didn’t get the “get” after the first few minutes you were napping not watching.

Usual suspense tropes. Predictable, hackneyed, derivative. Heche chewing scenery and a script that has more holes than Swiss cheese.
