Tbh, Godzilla Vs Kong seemed like a reiteration of Batman VS Superman...just like Batman VS Superman, it had a lot of hype and had lots of 'epic' moments and saying in the trailer that were hyped up...however in the movies those were said normally with no exaggeration or hype. An example of this is the saying "Kong bows to no one", in the trailer that was hyped up a lot but in the movie it was portrayed as an ordinary line in a conversation. Also the human villain's barely had any character and died very quickly and without any affect to the story. Just like in Batman VS Superman, the two titans spent 3/4 of the movie fighting, with Kong being critically injured and on the verge of death ( Just like Superman in Dawn of Justice) and then the two titans realize that MechaGodzilla is the real bad guy (just like Doomsday) and they defeat it. the only diff was that none of the titans died.
Overall the movie was decent with the CGI and whatnot, but the plot wasn't great and many fans were expecting a "one shall fall, one shall stand' moment but no...
Before all of you go raging on me, I love the MonsterVerse but I am just providing my honest opinion
