After dredging through all episodes I can say this show is possibly the worst Resident Evil adaptation. Viewership numbers arent a real measurement of quality. Lance Reddick who's brillant in every scene couldnt save this show. The main plot is awful and many sub plots are boring. The main two character are uninteresting; their actors poor or at least unsuited for their roles. Many supporting characters end up being disposable. So there's few options for viewers to latch onto instead. The writing is atrocious. The only real postives are Lance and some of the special effects. It's very generic zombie stuff which Resident Evil generally isn't. Resident Evils own flavour and style missing. I have no idea how many of the self proclaims 'true hardcore fans' could say this show is so great. This part is for the usual crowd giving the terrible excuses. I've seen critics say that Resident Evil is an unadaptable property. Which is untrue. That people dislike the show are stupid, racist and sexist. That they liked the show. Poorly validiated by them personally attacking people and stating they're the "true hardcore fans" of the series. I've played every single Resident evil game and watched every adaptation. I'd never use that as an argument to dismiss criticism. They're incapable of using their brain to form a coherent argument. They think their incoherent personal attacks are actual arguments. Imagine being so frankly stupid. All the while thinking you're smarter. Dunning-Kruger effect is at large here.
