Wonderfully disturbing and thought provoking. SPOILERS I've read a couple of the reviews before watching and was quite concerned about how many people didn't really understand what the point of the film was (I even read a review from someone who missed the first 30 minutes which is arguably one of the most crucial to the basis of the story), but I digress. Such a random movie..but so funny and at times quite adult. Rick Mayalls character (Fred) is literally Rick from the Young Ones, if you liked this film be sure to watch The Young Ones series, it's amazing. Reminded me of the series so much. Interesting analogies of dealing with trauma and I can relate alot to it. Rick is honestly such a breath of life in every production he was in.

It seems the 1 star reviewers are offended at the fact that a Disney film reflects our society and the progression we have within it. The majority seem to be Conservative, homophobic religious fanatics who can't accept the fact that a film revolves around people from multiple ethnic backgrounds therefore acting as positive representation for all the different kinds of people we have in this earth; instead of xenophobic, sexist, white-centric societies. However, Disney has outdone themselves again, finally, a film that centres around everything that this society needs to be, with its own unique storyline and creative takes on our current situation as humanity. The animation is incredible, the story is rich with adventure and intrigue. The characters are likeable and most importantly, relatable. It is not catered for the younger generation of children, as the themes in this film will fly over their heads for a few years.

I'm in the middle of Season 2... When I didn't think this series couldnt get any funnier.... it has.... I love Greg Davies and everything that he's done. But this is another level of absurdity and I love it. Can't recommend it enough

The people who give 1 star reviews obviously take life waaaaay to seriously. It seems that they don't get the whole point of the film. It's supposed to be light hearted but also thought prevoking, showing how absurd our society actually is. And the whole purpose of Barbie as a toy, and why it was created. And how pop culture took that and turned it into a sexual object to literally objectify women. People moaning about the graphics, get a grip, its literally a barbie.. Did you use sfx when you played with toys? ....no.. Its supposed to be absurd and silly.. Its a children's toy for christ sakes. You can literally see its a set, because that's literally what barbie is... A set.. That you make and you control. Everything is literally plastic so obviously this is what the film will be. The whole point of barbies and toys is to allow the child to express their feelings and mimic your reality, so obviously Margot robbies Barbie is going to be not completely thought out and a little messy......
