2019 is disrespected once again. Today, my server of 30 religious KbM Call of Duty players collectively abandoned the franchise. Aim assist has (once again) been made even more effective; so much so none of us can call this a remotely fair game. The rise of software-assisted aim is ruining the progressive nature of first-person shooters as a sport, and Activision is leading this charge. It's a great game for the larger demographic in the short term but makes gaming much easier to abandon as controllers limit skill sets and are boring to watch in exhibitions. They acknowledge they're sacrificing a group of more serious gamers with MW3. What they don't know is what they could have been if they invested in the competitive aspect of the game. Somehow, in what should have been a DLC, ATVI launched a game that ruined an IP. A poor executive decision.
