I've dug around for a decent basic web dev book for many years. Typically, they either don't have enough on information architecture, or are written by coders with limited design skill. This book hits a great middle ground. The in-chapter assignments are consistent and progressive, and the resulting projects are include both design and dev. If you need a book with tutorials and not just a big HTML reference, this is the one to get!
