Finally! A show that is not only so well done, but it also provides a well rounded contribution of love, intelligence, bravery and community from all races, genders and cultures. Well done!
My hope is to see the same representation of all people in season 2 in spite of what many of the naysayers say. Most shows like this don't last because some people are not used to the idea of all people in the future.
Now, what did I like about the show? Well, what is not to like.
I loved Salvor and Gaal as much as I appreciated Brother Day and Demerzel -- all unique but very necessary parts of the story.
My favorite episode was the one where the character Zephyr gave Brother Day a dose of reality. She rattled him so much in fact that he walked the journey. That's power!
My least favorite character (and not because she was not a good actress, but because she made my blood boil) was the Grand Huntress. Disliked her character all the way to the end. Bravo!
Salvor is one of my favorite characters. See lots of room for growth. Hope to see more of her in season 2.
As a sci-fi fan and I am so grateful to AppleTV for finally bringing two shows (Foundation and See) to your network. It is refreshing to see beautiful, strong, intelligent Black women represented in the future. Visual representation is so important in creating a world that is rich and diverse. Story creates a narrative and opens people up to the possibility.
I have ordered Foundation book and and intend on reading as far as the Robot World before season 2 begins.
