Get weapons, get scrap, recycle useless stuff into scrap. Make a tier 1 workbench research weapons like a revolver. Then when you got everything usefull reaseached you get more scrap to get tier 2 workbench get more scrap to reaserch get semi automatic pistol python, and semi automatic rifle.
