Me and the boys watched Ladies in Lavender. Was a truly captivating evening. The acting is just beyond expectations. Some of Dench’s best work. Not only did the acting move your heart with every scene, but you just yearned to see where it would go because it became so real. The on screen chemistry was just palpable and kept us on the edge of our seats. Whilst the room was divided on which way it should go, we all fell in love with the “potato” maid, Dorcas. She stole every scene she was in, and we felt as if we needed her in our life each day. And the climax, just wow, pin drop silence befell our room… Emotional. Highly recommend.
