I completely expected this movie to be bad and cringeworthy but it’s not horrible. I even think there was a small character development in Joe, as well as his relationship to Peter considering how there seemed to be some tension in the beginning.
SPOILERS
It did take awhile to get to where they were actually stuck but thinking about it now, the timing was good. We didn’t spend too much time on them being stuck the entire movie. I’ve never been to a ski resort so I can’t say whether it’s realistic or not like some reviews. However, I can say, as someone who has worked different jobs, you’d be surprised at how careless some people can be. Therefore, I don’t find it all to unreasonable that none of the workers didn’t check the chairs thoroughly. You can also clearly see the miscommunication between to ski lift operators as well.
Some reviews said it was unrealistic that the wolves came back during the day after they’d already eaten Dan. I don’t know wolves as well, but I think it’s possible they lingered because they knew there were more. Joe and Parker did cause some commotion, enough to get their attention to chase after Joe.
I’ll also say, there were certain scenes that was a bit unbearable to me such as Parker waking up to her hand stuck on the rail, and seeing Dan’s bone sticking out.
I just wished we could’ve seen more after Parker survived, see what happened to the situation. I know there’s an epilogue that she had successfully sued the resort (which I disagree with, I’d say the trio were somewhat in the wrong), but it would’ve been interesting to see that in the movie.
