Just saw the movie in theaters and I would say it is entertaining to watch but it could have been so much better.
I am a fnaf fan and I love the games although I played them years later. People who grew up with fnaf are older now and the r rating would have been more fitting with the lore and events that happen. With the pg-13 rating it felt so limited to the potential this movie had. At some points the movie felt like it dragged on and some of the acting wasn’t the best. But Josh and Mathew didn’t disappoint! They were amazing!
There weren’t jump scares like I had hoped which is what the games are known for. It’s also hard to call this a horror movie.
Overall, it was fun to watch and I’m glad I went to watch it and experience it in theaters to show my support. Everyone clapped at the end of the movie which was nice. :)
But I still think they went to soft with this movie and could have been more scary.
*spoiler*
Just throwing it out there, the scenes with Abby getting tickled by the animatronics and the fort scene felt a little too Disney for me.
