So disappointing. This character was nothing like the Perry Mason in books and the TV show. The gratuitous sex and graphic violence was totally unnecessary. I thought an update could be good, but this missed the mark. I don't think Erle Stanley Gardner would approve of calling this dark, violent version "Perry Mason". I won't be watching it.

The singers are ok, but the judges are annoying, especially Ken. Too much fluff. The fake adulation of the singers is ridiculous.

As a long time Zappa fan and a trumpet player, this is right up my alley. Love the big band music with a Zappa flair. Proves Zappa could do rock, jazz, and big band with his personal stamp on it.
