Too much political and social pandering; not enough rifle. A book about a rifle (or weapons system) should be about rifle not misuse by wingnuts. This is more a gender studies book about gun "debate" than a book for a fan of history of weapon. Though the history of AR-15 is steeped in intrigue and double dealing more than most: most of this book should have been left on editors floor.
