Disgraceful toying with the audience. At its best, it’s brilliant television. But the producers deserve contempt for the contemptuous ways they treat the audience by stringing along the story, adding totally irrelevant subplots, and creating a cliffhanger that was totally unwarranted. Never been as angry at great television.

A tongue-in-cheek fun romp with two charming and very watchable stars. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore, which is a shame.

Great acting. Very stylish. But will someone tell me what the alien dimension added to the proceedings and why it came in well after the series had started. Too clever by more than half.

As usual, with TV series, the first season is wonderful, the second pretty good, the third disappointing, and the fourth and beyond are impossible to watch or care about. Time to dispatch Fargo to Fargo.

Hands down, by miles, the best film of the year. If it doesn’t win best picture, the Academy should be disbanded. Pseudo-intellectual films like Year of the Dog and Dune showed bow down and acknowledge brilliant story-telling, wonderful performances, actual dialogue, and real people. A joy from first moment to last.

I have liked previous Wes Anderson movies. This one made no sense. Waste of time.
