I recently had the misfortune of playing War Thunder, and I must say it was a truly dreadful experience. From the moment I launched the game, I was bombarded with disappointment and frustration. Allow me to explain why War Thunder deserves nothing more than a one-star rating. First and foremost, the game's matchmaking system is an absolute disaster. Instead of ensuring fair and balanced matches, it seemed determined to put me in lopsided battles where the opposing team was vastly superior in terms of skill and equipment. It was an exercise in futility, as my attempts at strategy and teamwork were constantly thwarted by the unbalanced matchmaking algorithm. Furthermore, War Thunder's progression system is a grind of epic proportions. The game is designed to squeeze every ounce of your patience and time, forcing you to endlessly grind for upgrades and new vehicles. The rate at which you earn in-game currency and experience points is painfully slow, making any semblance of progress an arduous task. It feels like an unending cycle of repetitive battles with little reward or sense of accomplishment. In terms of gameplay mechanics, War Thunder is riddled with flaws. The controls are clunky and unresponsive, leading to countless frustrating moments where my inputs were ignored or misinterpreted. The targeting and aiming systems are equally problematic, making precision and accuracy nearly impossible to achieve. It's incredibly disheartening to see your shots miss their mark time and time again due to poor game mechanics. Moreover, the game's community is toxic and unwelcoming. Instead of fostering a friendly and inclusive environment, War Thunder seems to attract a horde of aggressive and disrespectful players. It's disheartening to engage in battles where insults and derogatory comments are hurled left and right. This toxic atmosphere only serves to further sour the already bitter taste left by the game itself. Lastly, the graphics and visual effects in War Thunder are underwhelming. In an era where stunning visuals and realistic environments are the norm, War Thunder falls flat. The graphics are outdated and lackluster, failing to immerse players in a truly captivating gaming experience. All in all, War Thunder is a prime example of a poorly executed game. Its unbalanced matchmaking, tedious progression system, flawed gameplay mechanics, toxic community, and lackluster graphics all contribute to an abysmal gaming experience. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this game to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a more rewarding and enjoyable gaming experience.
